In 2025, Indors Navigation integrated its geographic information system, the Interiors Navigation Platform, at a large medical facility in the city of Yakutsk – Yakutsk Regional Oncological Dispensary (YAROD), demonstrating its usefulness in the industry. The YAROD management had a request to create a modern system for tracking hospital patients and creating a mobile navigator with a convenient search for visitors.
The project was completed on a turnkey basis and included the development of Working Documentation, the supply of equipment, installation and commissioning work at the facility.
More than 300 BLE gateways and more than 200 Navigators have been installed in the hospital building to track the movement of patients and medical equipment. The necessary network infrastructure was deployed on 20 POE switches located in 10 cross-premises. The installation work took 2 working weeks, and more than 15 kilometers of UTP cable were stretched.
In the platform editor, based on drawings, we recreated an exact copy of the real Dispensary building with all the corridors, passageways, offices, and even the location of furniture, and obtained a highly detailed digital twin of the medical facility. We have added the main points of interest (POIs) and the most frequently requested zones.
Now visitors have received the YAROD mobile application with an interactive 3D map, a convenient system for finding the cabinet and guiding them along the route. Regular news and events at the hospital. As well as a convenient feedback channel with the clinic administration. Due to the 360 panoramas, the visitor can get acquainted with the interiors of the outpatient clinic in advance.
The application is available on mobile devices, on installed interactive terminals (infomats), and on the website of the medical facility.
Due to the fact that we have attached a tracking tag to each ward, or rather its patient, in the platform – Navitag. In the control panel, the administrator sees where the hospital patient is at the moment and gets the entire history of movements: in which rooms and when he was, how much time he spent, what procedures and diagnoses he attended.
And doctors can quickly find the required medical equipment by looking at a map in a mobile application or using the search box by plotting the shortest route.
The introduction of a modern navigation and patient tracking system at the medical facility has allowed the creation of a single information service that has optimized the operation of the dispensary:
In medical institutions, visitors regularly encounter certain difficulties in finding the right office or ward. The presence of several buildings, passageways and confusing corridors significantly complicates orientation and forces patients to spend extra time searching for the right one.
The Directorate of Railway Stations (JV), together with Indoors Navigation, has introduced an additional service — interactive terminals with 3D maps at 15 Russian Railways stations.
The company Indoors Navigation has successfully implemented an interactive navigation system based on the INP platform in the shopping and entertainment complex "Park Mall" in St. Petersburg.
Indoors Navigation Company took part in the Kazan Digital Week exhibition, where it demonstrated an innovative solution based on the Indoors Navigation Platform using augmented reality (AR) technologies.
