Tracking of medical equipment Techno Medicine

The company Indoors Navigation has successfully implemented a motion tracking system in the office showroom of Techno Medicine, the official distributor of professional medical equipment.

 

This project was an important step in demonstrating the tracking capabilities of medical assets and personnel using advanced Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, which allows for positioning accuracy of up to 0.5 meters.

Goals

The main task was to create a system that could effectively track the movement of medical equipment and personnel in real time. This not only improves control over resources, but also provides a unique opportunity to demonstrate tracking and positioning technologies to potential customers of the company.

Realization

Indoor Navigation used Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to implement the project. Special receivers for reading signals from tags (Navitags) attached to medical equipment were installed in several rooms of the showroom. These tags send signals in real time, which allows the system to accurately display their location on the map with an error of up to 0.5 meters.

The main stages of implementation:

  • Infrastructure installation: UWB receivers were installed inside the showroom, which record the signals from the tags. Their installation was carried out in such a way as to cover all the necessary zones for asset tracking.
  • Integration of the system with the Indoor Navigation Platform: The system was fully integrated into the INP platform, which allowed for real-time movement monitoring and route recording.
  • Routes and analytics: Thanks to the system, employees can view complete equipment movement routes, analyze data, and use it to demonstrate to customers.
