A total of 43 touch tables were installed with the Infomat software, which is integrated with the geographic information system of the Indoors Navigation Platform (INP)
The aim of this project is to improve train station navigation for passengers by offering intuitive, convenient and technological solutions for navigating public spaces, which has become especially important in large train stations with extensive infrastructure.
Interactive tables provide passengers with three-dimensional maps of train stations with the ability to search and build routes to various objects: ticket offices, platforms, recreation areas, shops, etc. The terminals display the route to the selected point in real time, accompanied by animation, which makes navigation easy and understandable.
One of the features of the system is the mode for low-mobility groups of the population (MGN), which takes into account special routes through elevators, ramps and other devices. This ensures comfortable movement of passengers with limited mobility.
In addition, the system allows passengers to save the route to their mobile device by simply scanning the QR code, which makes the process even more convenient. Interactive tables are also used to display advertising and information banners in standby mode, which opens up new opportunities for monetization of objects.
The system is based on the Indoor Navigation geographic information platform, which provides flexible content management capabilities. Station administrators can update information on terminals in real time, which ensures that the data is up-to-date for passengers. All changes are made through a centralized control panel, which simplifies the process of managing maps and routes at train stations.
Interactive terminals support 4K resolution, which ensures high detail of maps and objects at train stations. The built-in BLE beacons allow the system to accurately determine the location of passengers, and the powerful architecture of the terminals ensures their stable operation even in conditions of high passenger traffic.
The introduction of 43 interactive tables at 15 Russian Railways stations has significantly improved the quality of passenger service and increased their satisfaction. Touch tables have helped passengers reduce the time spent searching for the right objects, reduced the burden on station staff and increased the overall efficiency of the infrastructure.
We always think about our passengers, try to improve the quality of service and increase their satisfaction with the services provided at the train stations. Some of the train stations have large public spaces, and it's very easy to get confused there. That is why we decided to install additional interactive terminals with 3D maps and a visual list of services offered.
